At the time of Passover on the night when Jesus was betrayed, Luke tells us that our Lord instituted His “new covenant” meal. Jesus tells His disciples “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood" (Luke 22:20). What did Jesus mean when He called the Lord's Supper the "new covenant in my blood"? What is “new” about the new covenant? And, how is the Lord’s Supper a ratification of the new covenant?
