Scripture: 2 Thessalonians 3:6–3:15
The ultimate goal and main point of the last section (3:6-15) of Paul’s second letter to the Thessalonians is the peace of the church. Some of the Thessalonian believer’s disorderly behavior was disrupting the peace of the church. Because the peace of the church is of vital importance, discipline of those living disorderly lives in the church is necessary. Therefore, in 3:6-15, Paul issues three sets of commands in order to preserve the peace of the church.
